Migration is a social phenomenon that has become increasingly important in Mexico over time, as it is a country of origin, transit, destination, and return for migrants. Therefore, the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, as well as various international instruments, recognize, protect, and guarantee the human rights of migrants. The Migration Law consolidates the legal framework for the protection of migrants, recognizing their rights and addressing the challenges arising from human mobility, including dignified and fair treatment regardless of their immigration status.
